PGH Tennis | Connecting Everyone to the Game

Let's Bring Tennis Back to the Burgh

Our Purpose

PGH Tennis is here to bring the joy of tennis to more people across the Greater Pittsburgh area. We’re all about building connections, creating opportunities, and making the game more accessible to everyone. Whether you’re brand new to tennis or just starting to find your rhythm, we’re dedicated to creating spaces where beginners, especially young players, can discover a love for the game that lasts a lifetime.

Why Tennis?

Tennis is a sport you can enjoy for life. It’s active, social, and endlessly rewarding—helping people build connections, stay healthy, and grow in confidence at any age. That’s why we do what we do at PGH Tennis. We believe tennis should be for everyone, and we’re passionate about introducing the game to people—especially kids and young players—who might not have had the chance to pick up a racquet before. By creating welcoming environments and accessible opportunities, we want to make tennis a fun and lasting part of life for the next generation.

Aaron's Story | Community Lead @ PGH Tennis

Aaron Washington’s love for tennis started at an early age, playing with his family at the Sewickley Community Center. Those moments sparked a lifelong passion for the sport, which only grew stronger as he played with his family and friends during his early adulthood.Over the years, Aaron became deeply connected to Pittsburgh’s tennis community, competing in tournaments and forming lasting relationships on and off the court. He is a long-time member of the Highland Park Tennis Club and has spent years volunteering at the Mellon Park Tennis Center, sharing his love for the game with others.Aaron has experienced firsthand how tennis builds self and community. This is what fuels his passion for making the game accessible to everyone, especially underrepresented communities across the Greater Pittsburgh area.
